Farmers’ ‘Dilli Chalo’ Protest Suspended for Indefinite Period

‘Rail Roko’ Protest: Farmers to Halt Train Movement Across 18 Locations in Punjab

Sharing is caring!

Delhi, December 9:

The farmers’ ‘Dilli Chalo’ protest has been put on hold indefinitely.

Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher announced on Monday that no jatha (group) would head towards Delhi on Tuesday.

This decision follows the suspension of their march to Delhi on Sunday, after seven protesters were injured in tear gas shelling at the Shambhu border, where security forces prevented another attempt by the farmers to cross into Haryana from Punjab.
