Amritsar, February 22:
A powerful explosion occurred outside Gate No. 3 of the Border Security Force (BSF) headquarters in Khasa Cantt, Amritsar, late on Friday night around 1:30 AM, causing panic in the surrounding areas. Upon receiving the information, police and military officials rushed to the spot and initiated an investigation.
However, both military and police officials have completely denied any explosion, stating that no such incident took place and the situation remains normal in the area.
Meanwhile, fugitive terrorist Happy Passian, who is believed to be abroad, claimed responsibility for the alleged blast through a social media post. In the post, he stated that the explosion outside Gate No. 3 was carried out by him and Gopi Nawab Shahiri. He further mentioned that this act was in response to the Indian government imposing President’s Rule in Manipur.
At present, security agencies are investigating the matter to verify the authenticity of the explosion and assess any potential threat.
