Chandigarh, December 14:
In preparation for Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh’s concert at the Exhibition Ground in Sector 34, the Chandigarh Traffic Police have implemented parking prohibitions and traffic restrictions to minimize disruptions for commuters, traders, and residents of nearby sectors.
Spectators attending the event are required to park their vehicles at five designated locations across the city, with shuttle bus services provided for transportation to the venue.
Traffic restrictions will commence at 4 pm, affecting several roads near the concert site. Commuters are advised to avoid the Sectors 33-34 stretch, Piccadilly Chowk (Sector 20/21-33/34 Chowk), and New Labour Chowk (Sector 20/21-33/34 Chowk).
Key road closures include:
- The stretch from Sector 33/34/44/45 Chowk to the Sector 33/34 light point and New Labour Chowk.
- The road between the Sector 33/34 light point and the Sector 34/35 light point.
- The route from Sham Mall T-point to Polka turn.
Additionally, diversions will be in place from:
- Gaushala Chowk (Sector 44/45/50/51) towards Faidan or Kajheri Chowk.
- The Sector 44/45 light point towards South End or Gurdwara Chowk.
- Bhawan Vidyalaya School T-point to Sector 33/45 Chowk.
- Residents and travelers are encouraged to plan alternative routes to avoid inconvenience.
