Desh Bhagat University has announced the launch of the Dr. Manmohan Singh Ph.D. Fellowship Programme, dedicated to honouring the legacy of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh. This initiative aims to foster advanced research and societal development, offering a total of 15 Ph.D. slots.
The programme includes 10 fellowships reserved for Indian scholars and 5 for international candidates. Selected fellows will receive a monthly stipend and gain valuable experience as teaching and research assistants.
Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh highlighted the university’s dedication to promoting quality research and interdisciplinary education. President Dr. Sandeep Singh encouraged aspiring scholars to take advantage of this platform to address global challenges and contribute to societal growth. “This is an opportunity to advance knowledge, build nations, and create a brighter future,” he remarked.
The launch event was graced by Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur, Vice Chancellor Dr. Abhijit H. Joshi, Vice President Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, and Dr. Surjit Kaur Patheja, showcasing a collective commitment to academic excellence and innovation.
