Bihar, January 8:
The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has imposed a lifetime ban on 68 candidates who participated in the third phase of the teacher recruitment exam using fake identification documents. Among those banned are five women. These candidates had used fraudulent ID cards to appear for the exam, prompting the commission to take strict action. They are now prohibited from sitting for or applying to any future BPSC exams.
Third Phase Results Released
The results for the third phase of the teacher recruitment exam were announced on December 16, with the names of selected candidates for 15,251 positions for classes 9 and 10. Following that, the results for 11th and 12th-grade candidates were also released on December 27. According to the new roster, 19,415 vacancies have been announced in the education department. This time, the commission has replaced the 65% reservation system with a 50% reservation-based result.
New Exam Scheduled
BPSC has decided to re-conduct the exam between July 19-22, 2024, which was originally planned for March. However, the exam was canceled due to a paper leak. The commission is committed to ensuring the exam is conducted peacefully and fairly this time.
Counseling for School Teacher Positions
Counseling for 67,110 selected teachers in the third phase of the teacher recruitment process will be held from January 9 to 16. This will take place in the designated districts and at the Dashrath Manjhi Labor and Planning Study Institute from 10 AM to 5 PM. During counseling, candidates must bring their original admit card for the 2024 School Teacher or Headmaster Appointment Exam along with a self-certified copy.
