The Center has provided Y+ category CRPF security cover to former diplomat and BJP candidate from Amritsar, Taranjit Singh Sandhu. Sandhu was facing constant opposition from the farmers.
Former IFF officer Taranjit Singh Sandhu, the Bharatiya Janata Party candidate in Amritsar, has been opposed twice. They were shown black flags. After input from security agencies, Sandhu’s security has been increased. Earlier, the Central government had also increased the security of Aam Aadmi Party’s Sushil Rinku and Sheetal Angural.
