Chandigarh, Oct 21
Moga police arrested an associate of Lucky Patial, who was based abroad and associated with the Bambiha gang, with three illegal weapons. Three associates of Manpreet Singh alias Mani Bhinder, associated with Lawrence Bishnoi gang, were arrested along with the recovery of three illegal weapons.
A total of 4 associates of the two gangs were arrested along with the recovery of 6 illegal weapons. These accused were planning to target a businessman for extortion in Moga. Two FIRs have been registered against them.
Earlier on Sunday, Jalandhar Police had arrested five vicious criminals of the Bambiha-Kaushal gang. Illegal weapons were recovered from the possession of the accused. Police have recovered 9 guns and 15 cartridges from them. Police investigation revealed that the arrested criminals had smuggled these weapons from Madhya Pradesh.
